Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center’s recent $2,500 donation to Lakeland Union High School will support boys and girls sports and activities.

“We feel it’s important to back all of Lakeland Union High School’s co-curricular activities, because they help our area youth develop into well-rounded, healthy adults,” said Rick Clark, Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center administrator.

The annual contribution will help provide funding for sports such as baseball, softball, basketball, golf, hockey, football, volleyball, soccer, gymnastics, cross country, wrestling, tennis, swimming, track and Nordic skiing.

Clubs and activities funded include, dance team, DECA, drama, forensics, FBLA, German club, pep band, choir, mock trial, Visual Arts Classic, Spanish club, teen court, student council, yearbook, T-Bird newspaper and National Honor Society.

“We are grateful for the contributions from organizations like Marshfield Clinic,” said Don Scharbarth, LUHS activities director. “Each year, we encourage our community to support our sports, clubs and activities, because many of these co-curricular activities could not be sustained without those additional funds.”
