As a physician assistant in General Surgery, Alexa Boersen's practice includes caring for patients who are undergoing surgery every step of the way and making sure they are comfortable going through this life change.
Alexa says it has been her passion to take care of surgical patients, which is a special population requiring a specific combination of gentleness and confident decisiveness.
"Patients need to feel well cared for and trust their surgical team to speak on their behalf when they are unable to do so," said Alexa. "I have the privilege of being a part of a successful surgical team that values meeting each patient's needs. I am grateful for my experience and happy to bring that to the general surgery team at Marshfield Clinic Health System."
Alexa received her bachelors of science degree from Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan and her master of physician assistant studies through Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan.
She and her husband love the outdoors and being part of the Minocqua community.
