Birthing services

Marshfield Medical Center-Minocqua’s birthing center provides growing Northwoods families with access to exceptional health care. You’ll find familiar faces in a state-of-the-art space close to home.

Our providers are with you every step of the way to guide, comfort and provide the best care possible for you. Our Minocqua hospital simplifies your birthing experience.

We have specialty obstetrics care for any complications like preeclampsia, preterm labor, gestational diabetes and more during pregnancy. Our OB/GYNs consult with our maternal fetal medicine specialists for collaborative care before and during pregnancy.

The birth center is located on the second floor in Marshfield Medical Center-Minocqua. Come in the front door, take the elevator to the second floor and follow the signs for Women's Health. Visitors will be buzzed into the Birth Center.

Birthing suites designed for comfort

We have a prenatal care coordinator to help guide the process for moms by answering questions and creating a comfortable environment. Our coordinators will direct you to your personal birthing suite at our new birthing center for labor and delivery.

Our birthing center offers:

  • Private suites to create a homelike environment for parents, families and visitors.
  • A dedicated C-section room for planned or urgent deliveries.
  • More in-room bonding time with your newborn child.
  • Comfort pads for moms after delivery.
  • Other benefits include 24/7 access to specialists including anesthesiology, maternal fetal medicine, obstetrics and pediatrics.
