Dr. Andrea Gosalvez, pediatric gastroenterologist, sees patients with celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, abdominal pain, difficulties swallowing, difficulties gaining weight and constipation.

For Dr. Andrea Gosalvez, she's always known she'd be a pediatrician.

“Medicine, and truly pediatrics, is my childhood dream. I never envisioned anything else than becoming a pediatrician," she said. “During training, I quickly fell in love with gastroenterology. Its variety of diseases is fascinating to me."

As a pediatric gastroenterologist, she sees patients with abdominal pain, difficulties eating, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, difficulties swallowing and constipation.

“First, as a mother, I want to provide the care I look for in my own children, with empathy and patience. As a pediatric gastroenterologist, I strive to be caring, assertive, humble and make sure my patients feel heard."

She is excited and passionate about having her patients return to their daily activities. Knowing they can enjoy fun activities, food and school again is the biggest reward.

Dr. Gosalvez received her medical degree from the Catholic University in Bolivia. She did her pediatric residency with Marshfield Clinic Health System and her pediatric gastroenterology fellowship was completed at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Children's Wisconsin, an MCW affiliate.

She is board-certified in pediatrics.

Dr. Gosalvez has two children, and outside of work, she enjoys baking and spending time outdoors with her family.
