Anthony DeVries is a radiologist specializing in musculoskeletal and body imaging. He sees patients for diagnostic imaging and diagnoses of issues related to the chest, gastrointestinal or digestive tract, reproductive or urinary tract, and abdomen.
Dr. DeVries' passion for medicine began at a young age. He grew up watching his mother work as a pediatrician. Dr. DeVries felt called to do the same meaningful work.
“As I grew older, I realized that medicine is the ultimate opportunity to care for people and a great way to serve and better my community," Dr. DeVries said.
The community Dr. DeVries serves is the same one he was raised in. His desire to give back to his hometown is a driving force in his work.
“In addition to providing excellent patient care, the people within Marshfield Clinic Health System are professional, compassionate and dedicated to their community," Dr. DeVries said. “This is the type of environment I want to work in."
Dr. DeVries earned his medical doctorate at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He attended the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis for his bachelor's degree. Additionally, Dr. DeVries completed his radiology residency and musculoskeletal imaging fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
In his spare time, Dr. DeVries enjoys being physically active by cycling and playing soccer.
