Dr. Felipe Echeverria cherishes the opportunity to connect with his patients, a value deeply rooted in his own experiences as a childhood patient. Inspired by his surgeon parents, Dr. Echeverria chose a different path within medicine. He pursued a career in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics (Med-Peds) to have more meaningful interactions and lasting relationships with his patients.
“The human side of it - building relationships and understanding individuals - is what brings me the greatest satisfaction," he said.
As a Med-Peds provider, Dr. Echeverria is dedicated to caring for patients of all ages, focusing on overall wellness and preventative care. He is passionate about providing individualized care because he understands that every patient is unique.
"People just want someone who can listen to them," he said. "Collaborating to find solutions has always been deeply important to me."
Dr. Echeverria completed his residency with Marshfield Clinic Health System and chose to begin his career in Marshfield. Born in Quito, Ecuador, and having lived in New York for several years, he found the close-knit community in Marshfield to be a welcome change.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Echeverria is a published poet who finds joy in writing. He has been dedicated to playing classical guitar since the age of 11 and has a deep appreciation for sci-fi literature. Dr. Echeverria also enjoys engaging in activities like video and board games with friends, soccer, hiking, and sports such as badminton and pickleball. Above all, he values spending quality time with his family.
