Dr. Joseph Puccinelli is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a focus on sports medicine. He works to relieve pain and restore function for patients, especially those who require knee ligament reconstruction. Dr. Puccinelli also performs minimally invasive total knee replacements.
His interest in orthopedics comes from a desire to fix things. Dr. Puccinelli takes great pride in being able to help a patient with a severe health issue get back to doing what they love.
“Helping patients regain the level of activity they had previously is a great feeling and I enjoy making a positive difference in their lives," Dr. Puccinelli said.
Partnering with his patients, Dr. Puccinelli ensures that his patients know every step of the treatment plan and are comfortable with the goals. He believes that a high level of communication can actually impact the patient's outcome.
“I truly feel that people recover faster and have greater results when they are active participants in their care," Dr. Puccinelli said.
Dr. Puccinelli earned his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri.
In his spare time, he enjoys being outdoors and fishing on Wisconsin's lakes and streams as often as he can.
