Physician assistant Kali Storm treats patients for cardiovascular problems, including heart attacks, atrial fibrillation and hypertension.

She is particularly interested in coronary artery disease and women's heart care.

"My job is to see and evaluate patients, give them helpful information and go through any questions that they might have," said Storm, a board-certified physician assistant at Marshfield Clinic Health System Wausau, Weston and Merrill centers.

"We are a team in the cardiology department," she said. "I work in conjunction with the cardiologist extending the care we are able to offer our patients."

"When a patient is going into a procedure, I'll talk with them about what's going on and what will happen during the procedure. They want to understand how a specific treatment might help them. Then, when a patient is discharged, I'll spend more time with them explaining their doctors' instructions, going over their medicines and discussing important lifestyle changes," Kali said.

Originally from Merrill, Kali grew up working on her grandparents' farm. She and her husband enjoy camping, fishing, canoeing and a variety of other outdoor activities.

Kali earned her physician assistant degree at Midwestern University – Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.
