Cardiologist Dr. Milind Shah treats cardiac and vascular conditions, structural heart
problems and irregular heart rhythms.

“I enjoy exploring new studies,
procedures and technologies to
improve my practice and better help
my patients,” Dr. Shah said.

As one example, Dr. Shah
performs transcatheter aortic
valve replacement (TAVR), an
innovative, non-surgical procedure.

Dr. Shah’s pursuit of medicine was inspired
by seeing his parents, who also were
physicians, examine and treat patients.
This desire to help people influenced his
decision to specialize in cardiology.

“I could see how this specialty produced immediate results in saving people’s lives,” he said.

Dr. Shah earned his medical degree and completed an internal medicine residency in India. He then completed an internal medicine residency and a fellowship in cardiology at Cleveland Clinic Health System, Ohio. He also completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology at the University of Chicago.

He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He serves as a clinical associate professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Madison.

He and his wife, Dr. Alpa Shah, a psychiatrist at Marshfield Clinic Health System, have two children. He enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, golfing and movies.
