Rebecca Cronk, NP

As a nurse practitioner, Rebecca Cronk sees patients in a multitude of areas. She specializes in orthopedics, helping patients who have experienced a traumatic injury, bone or joint fracture or pain.

Cronk says she was called to the field of nursing after having received exceptional care as a young adult. She's drawn to helping others and nursing gives her the ability to expand that care beyond her friends and family. Orthopedics allows Cronk to use not only her health care skills but also her creativity.

“Immobility and pain can limit individuals across the lifespan and negatively impact their perception of their quality of life," Cronk said. “In my nursing career I've been able to support patients and their families to maximize recovery potential and regain independence and mobility."

Cronk emphasizes the importance of teamwork among members of a patient's care team. She works to collaborate and keep the care plan patient-centered.

“I think that patient education should be foundational and ongoing," Cronk said. “It is imperative to communicate not only with the patient but also with other members of the care team."

Cronk earned her master of science in nursing from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. Her Bachelor's degree is from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Cronk and her partner have six children and they prioritize spending much of their time with extended family in the area. In her spare time, she also enjoys hiking, swimming, gardening, managing a youth hockey team and coaching youth lacrosse.
