Nurse Practitioner Ruth Grams always wanted to help people, and loved the nursing model of care. After working in the emergency department, she saw a need for patient education, and wanted to work directly with patients.

“I realized I wanted to work in a setting where I had the time and opportunity to work closely with patients to maximize wellbeing and prevent disease and illness," she said.

Ruth strives to be approachable for patients to answer any question and talk about what is going on in their lives.

“I love the feeling of working with and caring for rural populations and I look forward to developing relationships with generations of patients," she said.

Ruth earned her bachelor's degree in Nursing from Carroll University in Waukesha, and earned her doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Outside of work, she enjoys sewing and spending time outdoors with her family.
