Stacy Braun, PhD, ABPP

Stacy Braun knew she wanted to be a psychologist after taking an introductory psychology course in high school.

“Something just clicked with me,” she said, “I found the power of the mind and its influence on behavior fascinating. I also really enjoy being able to help people through their difficulties, so it is a perfect fit.” Board-certified in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology, she specializes in psychological testing and working with children and adolescents suffering from depression, anxiety and other emotional and behavioral concerns. She especially enjoys working as a member of a multidisciplinary team to address the most complicated cases. She is also part of a team that sees young people with weight management issues.

“You can be working on a difficult case and then the patient gets an ‘ah-ha’ moment,” she said of her career field. “It’s really rewarding to be able to help patients get to that point, and make an impact on their lives.”

Braun is a native of Wisconsin. She earned her Ph.D. at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, and then completed fellowship training in child and adolescent psychology at Marshfield Clinic. The Clinic appealed to her as a place to practice because it was heading toward the multidisciplinary approach that she experienced in her training and that she feels enhances patient care.

She enjoys outdoor activities, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
