Taylor Effertz is an oncology nurse practitioner, providing care for patients with issues related to cancer treatments, the disease and blood disorders.
Her interest in health care stems from her altruistic nature.
“I wanted to enter the field of medicine to help others," Effertz said. “I enjoy the challenges that medicine provides and the diversity of opportunities available."
The most important element in Effertz's practice is providing individualized care. She works to approach each situation on a case-by-case basis, using the patient's concerns, goals and priorities to help develop a holistic care plan.
Effertz says through her care, she emphasizes being a strong patient advocate, a good listener and being very thorough in patient appointments.
Effertz earned her doctorate in nursing practice at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs. They're always looking for new local restaurants and breweries to explore.
