Born and raised in Stratford, Toshia Spindler first volunteered in hospice and palliative care. During that time, she connected with patients who were underserved and didn’t receive early access to proper care. She wanted to become a primary care provider in her community to make connections with her patients and provide that care.

“Going into medicine, I felt that I could fill a piece of that hole,” Toshia said. “I will build relationships with my patients to allow them to feel comfortable asking questions and trusting that I am going to listen, hear their concerns and help them through any challenge they are facing.”

In family medicine, Toshia works collaboratively with Marshfield Clinic Health System physicians to give her patients holistic care. She cares for patients of all ages and varying conditions.

Every day is different and Toshia said she enjoys being challenged. She is excited to celebrate all your successes with you, big or small.

“My strength in my practice are my relationships with my patients and building that trust,” she said. “I’m going to work with them as a team, as a partner, in order to come up with the best plan for them individually, it is going to take both of us working together.”

Toshia earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health WisPACT cohort.

In her free time, Toshia enjoys being outside. Her and her husband love to travel and learn about other cultures, especially to tropical areas where they can scuba dive. Living in her hometown, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
