Trista Barlow decided to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner in behavioral health after serving as a staff nurse for mental health patients. The experience inspired her and also underscored the need for more mental health providers.
Trista sees adult patients with a wide variety of diagnoses, including depression, anxiety and ADHD. In addition, she works as part of the team in the Perinatal Mental Health Clinic. This specialty service aids women who are looking to conceive, are currently pregnant, postpartum or have had a recent miscarriage.
“I enjoy being a member of the Perinatal Mental Health Clinic and working with women who are living with mental illness," Trista said. “I enjoy helping these women become versions of their best selves in order to care for their families."
Trista earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis. A central Wisconsin native and mother of two, Trista loves the outdoors whether camping, hiking, mountain biking or kayaking. She also enjoys traveling, live music and a good book.
