Vidallah Nordquist, DNP

Vidallah Nordquist is a doctor of nursing practice who cares for hospitalized patients. Nordquist's decision to enter the field of medicine was prompted by experience in Kenya working with people living with HIV and AIDS.

“This was an era when HIV was believed to be caused by supernatural phenomena," Nordquist said. “Seeing changes and improvements from antiretroviral therapies was my 'aha' moment. I knew there was more to human biology and I envisioned myself breaking through the profession to clinically solve problems using scientific research and guidelines."

Nordquist now treats patients with conditions like COPD, pneumonia, cardiac arrhythmias and many more.

“My philosophy to holistic care acknowledges that my patient is a person and my care is individualized based on needs," Nordquist said. “My approach is to collaboratively work with patients to form a care plan that involves patient needs and provides available resources for better outcomes."

Nordquist has a daughter and son. When free time is available, Nordquist notes a passion for Christmas holiday decorations, traveling to exotic destinations, cooking and four-wheeling.
