When advanced treatment is required, we arrange rapid transport to trauma certified centers, including the adult and pediatric Level II trauma centers at Marshfield Medical Center and other trauma certified Emergency Departments in Wisconsin.

What we treat

Severe or life-threatening conditions, including but not limited to: chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe injury or bleeding, stroke symptoms (sudden weakness, facial droop, speech trouble), severe allergic reactions, major burns, head injuries, seizures, and acute abdominal pain.

 

What to expect in the ER 

  1. Triage & assessment: We quickly evaluate symptoms and vital signs to prioritize care.
  2. Diagnosis & treatment: Onsite testing and imaging as needed; immediate interventions to stabilize and treat.
  3. Specialty coordination: If advanced care is needed, we arrange rapid transport to our Level II trauma centers.
  4. Follow-up plan: Before you leave, we provide next steps and help you schedule follow-up care.

Yes. Our Emergency Departments are open 24/7/365.

Do you have pediatric emergency capabilities?

Yes. When advanced pediatric care is needed, we coordinate rapid transport to the pediatric Level II trauma center at Marshfield Medical Center.

Who will care for me?

You’ll be treated by board-certified physicians and critical care certified nursing staff trained in emergency care.

Do I need an appointment for the ER?

No. Walk-in care is available for emergencies. For nonemergent needs, schedule an appointment.

Will you transfer me if I need higher-level care?

If advanced treatment is required, we’ll arrange fast transport to the appropriate adult or pediatric Level II trauma center.
