Scheduling & referrals

Two ways to get started: 

  • Physician referral: Your doctor sends an order for therapy. 
  • Self-referral: Many insurance plans allow you to start with physical therapy without seeing a doctor first. Check your plan, or we’ll verify benefits for you after you schedule.  

Insurance coverage: Most plans include therapy benefits. We can provide a fee estimate and confirm coverage once your appointment is scheduled.  

What to expect at your visit

  • Evaluation: A therapist listens to your goals and assesses movement, strength, speech/language, or function. 
  • Personalized plan: We outline a clear program with exercises, coaching, and progress checkpoints. 
  • Ongoing support: Your care team adjusts your plan as you improve and coordinates with your doctor if needed. 
  • Results that matter: Measurable progress toward the activities that are most important to you. 

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a referral?

Not always. Some plans allow self-referral to physical therapy; others require a provider’s order. We’ll help you determine what your plan needs. 

Is therapy covered by insurance?

Most insurance policies include therapy benefits. We’ll verify your coverage and share an estimate before you begin. 

How soon can I start?

We aim to schedule your first visit as quickly as possible—often within days—based on your location and therapist availability.

What happens at my first appointment?

A therapist reviews your health history and goals, performs an evaluation, and sets a tailored plan with home-program recommendations. 

Do you offer pediatric therapy?

Yes—pediatric physical, occupational, and speech therapy are available at select locations. We’ll connect you with a child-focused specialist. 

Do you coordinate with my medical team?

Absolutely. We share progress and collaborate with your primary care provider or specialist as needed.
