Frequently asked questions

Do I need a referral?

Many patients start by discussing sleep concerns with their clinician, who may refer you for testing. Coverage rules vary—our team helps you navigate the next step.

What happens during an in-lab study?

You’ll sleep in a private room while sensors record brain waves, breathing, muscle activity and eye movements. A technologist monitors your sleep and keeps you comfortable.

Is a home sleep test as good as the lab?

Home testing can be right for suspected sleep apnea; full in-lab studies capture more detail when symptoms are complex. Your specialist will recommend the best option.

How long until I get results?

After your study, a sleep specialist interprets the data and shares a plan—often within days.

Will treatment help right away?

Many patients notice improvements in energy, mood and focus once the right therapy is in place.
