Brad Morrow, MD

As a pediatric plastic surgeon, Dr. Brad Morrow works with children to reconstruct birth differences such as repairing cleft lips, remodeling skulls when the bones fuse together too early or recreating a smile by transferring a muscle in the leg to the face.

He decided to become a plastic surgeon after watching a cleft lip repair as a medical student. “I was absolutely blown away,” said Dr. Morrow. “I was floored by the impact that one surgery would have on that kid’s life. I knew instantly that is what I wanted to do.”

He completed his plastic surgery training at Penn State University, and then completed advanced training in pediatric plastic surgery at the world-renowned Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and craniofacial surgery with Dr. Jeff Fearon at the Craniofacial Center in Dallas. His passion to transform children’s lives also led him to spend a month in rural India with Operation Smile performing surgery on children with cleft lip and palate.

Dr. Morrow appreciates the level of trust that must be developed with families in order to allow him to operate on the most precious aspect of their lives.

“When discussing surgery, we need to look at the whole child. We must weigh the effect of surgery on a child’s physical, emotional and social health as well as their developing brain,” he said.

Dr. Morrow has been committed to community service and previously worked as a drug and alcohol counselor and joined the New York City Police Department after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

He and his wife live in Marshfield with their four children. His family enjoys ice skating and playing hockey.
