Elizabeth Schmid, PA-C

Elizabeth Schmid is a physician assistant in emergency medicine. She entered the field of medicine because she has a passion for helping others.

“It offers the opportunity to continuously grow and learn something new each day," Schmid said. “It has allowed me to combine my interest in science with my desire to provide compassionate care."

From sprains and bone fractures to respiratory infections, Schmid helps many patients. During each visit, she strives to connect with patients.

“I believe that patient care is a collaborative relationship between patient and provider," Schmid said. “I believe that starts with truly listening to the patient and approaching every visit with empathy and care."

Schmid is a Stevens Point native and she appreciates the opportunity to care for central Wisconsin residents in her hometown.

“Marshfield Clinic Health System has invested in small communities and rural areas," said Schmid. “I value being part of an organization that is focused on the community and truly seeks to provide the best care possible even when working with limited resources in rural outreach communities."

In her spare time, Schmid enjoys kayaking, gardening, fishing and hunting.
