Lara Stauner is a nurse practitioner specializing in oncology and hematology. She sees patients at all levels during their cancer journey.
Stauner prioritizes communication with her patients and makes an effort to learn the why behind their concerns.
“In my experience, individuals are the experts of their bodies, which is why it is of utmost importance to listen to what patients are telling me," Stauner said. “The better we understand their story, the better equipped we are to provide the best care."
Involving her patients in every level of their treatment plan creation, Stauner works to treat more than a patient's physical concerns.
“I use a holistic approach to health care that incorporates all aspects of their humanity into assessment and support of their care goals," Stauner said.
Stauner earned her nursing degree at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio.
In her spare time, Stauner and her husband enjoy spending time with their three children, two dogs and a cat.
