Mayro Kubista is a physical therapist helping patients with a wide range of concerns including orthopedic surgery, neurologic issues and various musculoskeletal diagnoses.
Kubista traces her interest in health care to a role model in her home: her mother, who was a nurse. She finds fulfillment in helping patients get back to what they love to do.
“I enjoy seeing patients improve over a period of time and return to the activities they previously enjoyed," Kubista said.
Kubista seeks out opportunities to learn about and implement ongoing advancements in therapeutic treatments. Her approach to therapy includes a communication style designed to alleviate her patients' concerns and make them as comfortable as possible.
“I try to explain things in a way patients understand, let them ask questions and treat them as I would like to be treated," said Kubista.
Kubista's interest in physical therapy gradually developed during high school and college when she worked as a swimming instructor, attended career conferences and participated in job shadow programs. She earned her degree in physical therapy from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
Kubista and her husband enjoy living and working in a rural area and spending time with their family.
