Dr. Michael Fallon is a radiation oncologist who sees patients with a variety of different types of cancer including lung, prostate, breast, rectum and head or neck cancers. Additionally he treats patients with benign conditions such as pituitary adenomas, splenomegaly or enlarged spleen and prevention of heterotopic bone formation.
Dr. Fallon's introduction to medicine began when he was a young child. His father was a Navy physician and he saw the work being done by health care providers at the Marine Sick Bay in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The experience left a lasting impression on Dr. Fallon. His interest in the radiation oncology specialty comes from a fascination with science and people.
“The day-to-day practice of caring for people battling cancer invariably results in the development of deep and lasting personal and professional relationships," Dr. Fallon said.
Those relationships are built on open and honest communication, which Dr. Fallon emphasizes in his care.
“One of the most important elements essential to providing quality patient care is fostering inter-personal communication with patients and their families," Dr. Fallon said.
Dr. Fallon earned his medical degree at SUNY Stony Brook University in New York. Additionally, he completed his radiation oncology residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
In his spare time, Dr. Fallon is an avid student of history, enjoys ice hockey and loves all animals, especially golden retrievers.
