Morgan Hein is a physician assistant who says she has wanted to work in health care for as long as she can remember.

“My passion for medicine initially came from my grandfather, who was a general surgeon," Hein said. “He expressed how he was able to impact people's lives in a positive way, improve their quality of life, and walk alongside patients in difficult times.”

Hein chose a career in primary care because it allows her to see a variety of conditions and manage both acute and chronic conditions. She helps patients with things like high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, diabetes and abnormal thyroid hormone levels. Always providing compassionate care and seeing eye-to-eye with patients is one of her main goals.

“Some of the most important elements to patient care are shared medical decision making and patient education,” Hein said. “Health care can be confusing, so advocating for patients and helping patients understand their condition and treatment options is important.”

Hein and her husband both grew up in Minocqua. She says outside of work, they enjoy outdoor activities like biking and hiking.
