New to the Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson team, Piper McHugh, P.A. brings a variety of skills and experience to our emergency department.
Having worked as an EMT, McHugh earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI and Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Trine University in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She is eager to return home to the Upper Peninsula to help our area residents with their emergent medical needs.
“My goal is to listen, demonstrate respect, and reassure my patients that they are receiving the highest level of care," McHugh said. “Thoroughness, compassion, and constant communication are key elements to a successful treatment."
Knowing that she will see a wide variety of injuries and ailments makes the job exciting for McHugh. “A hands-on approach is required in the ED. Helping people and solving problems is what I love to do," McHugh said.
In her spare time, McHugh enjoys hiking, skiing, travelling, mountain biking, camping, video games, and spending time with friends and family.
