​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Riverview Center psychiatry and behavioral health has psychiatrists other mental health therapists and professionals to provide diagnostic evaluation and medication management for patients. The mental health therapists provide diagnostic assessment and ongoing "talk therapy."

The focus of treatment in psychiatry is medication management and although psychiatrists do not provide traditional "talk therapy," they make referrals to mental health therapists who provide "talk therapy." Mental health therapists will also make referrals to psychiatrists and other health professionals when medication is needed.

The psychiatrists work closely with staff nurses who assist patients with questions, education and medication monitoring. New patients will receive a thorough intake assessment and medications as needed; if given medication, patients are scheduled for return office visits to monitor progress.

Therapy is provided on an individual, couples or family basis, depending upon each patient's specific concerns.​
