High risk breast service: What we do
We offer a personalized breast cancer risk assessment.
In an appointment with our team, we will talk through your personal and family history, screening options, prevention strategies and genetic testing options.
Who should use the high-risk breast service?
This service is helpful for those at higher risk of developing breast cancer because of factors like family history and genetics.
You might be considered high risk for breast cancer if you have:
- A personal history of non-cancerous breast conditions
- A mother, daughter or sister with a breast cancer diagnosis
- Inherited changes in certain genes (BRCA1 and BRCA2)
- Dense breast tissue
- Increased estrogen levels
- Questions after your mammogram results or other testing
- Questions about prevention and early detection options
You do not need to have cancer to use this service.
