Our resources
Hats, wigs and scarves
Hair loss can be a common side effect with cancer treatment including chemotherapy (IV or oral), targeted therapy, radiation therapy and stem cell transplants. Most commonly, complete hair loss is related to cancer treatment with chemotherapy.
Managing side effects such as hair loss is an important part of cancer care and treatment. For many people, hair loss can be a very distressing part of cancer treatment.
We offer professionally cleaned, donated wigs and hats, as well as new wigs and hats purchased with donated funds, free of charge to patients undergoing cancer treatment. This service also includes:
- Information on managing hair loss
- Information on wig selection and care
- Help with wig and hat sizing and color swatch samples
- Free wigs including a variety of colors, styles, and sizes for women
- Free hats and turbans in a variety of colors, styles, and sizes for men and women
- Additional information and resources for ordering new wigs with potential cost assistance from outside resources
Our locations offer patients a beautiful, relaxing environment to try on wigs and head coverings throughout their cancer treatment. With the help of trained department staff and volunteers, utilizing this service is a personal, private and enjoyable experience. Cancer patients are welcome to bring their support team with them during this experience.
Patients are welcome to schedule an appointment or they may visit oncology and hematology during clinic hours and ask for a visit with our trained staff and volunteers.
These services are offered at the following locations:
Integrative medicine
Our integrative medicine team is committed to giving you both conventional and complimentary methods to provide the best outcome possible. Our providers promote both health and the prevention of illness by focusing on sleeping well, moving well, eating well, avoiding toxins and having a purpose.
Oncology nurse triage line
An oncology registered nurse is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to serve you in the event that urgent symptoms occur.
To serve you best, please call the nurse triage line to share your symptoms. We will be able to assess your needs, order labs or tests and consult with your provider as needed. Calling ahead to the triage line is highly recommended, as a walk-in (without an appointment) does not allow our team time to prepare best for your needs.

Cancer survivorship program
Our cancer survivorship program offers holistic care for adult patients throughout their cancer treatment.
Many survivors lead normal lives (often described as a "new normal") with few negative side effects from treatment. Treatment for cancer also can have lasting physical, social and emotional effects that alter life for years to come. Many cancer survivors report that recovery from the emotional experience of a life-threatening illness lingers significantly beyond the completion of actual treatment.
Developed with the guidance of survivors who have experienced cancer treatment, our survivorship program is a comprehensive path designed to help you adjust to life after treatment. Our survivorship program provides compassionate, qualified coordinators who focus on meeting your needs through cancer treatment and beyond at several locations throughout Wisconsin.
